I’m a bit poorly today, so had the day off school (which sucks, because my conversation classes have been going CRAZILY well, I’m so happy). Currently filling up my day with nothingness, so trying to be a bit productive by finally updating and getting some sewing done

Oh the things you can pick up from a Flohmarkt (Flea market)… I spotted her and wanted her immediately – Meet Sally! She’s my sassy new mannequin, meaning I don’t have to do silly posing pictures in clothes I’ve made, hurrah!

She likes to think that she looks better in my clothes than I do, but I have to keep pointing out to her that done of my dresses zip up the whole way on her… so there Sally!

I must say though, even if she isn’t the same size, it’s nice to have something to be able to pin my clothes on and see if what I’m making is working out. All our full length mirrors are in the bathroom (on three wardrobes… which is a bit bizarre, because when you shower you always feel like someone’s watching you…) so it’s a bit of a pain in the arse to get changed and up and out of my little domain to the Badezimmer and then back and change back into my comfy pajamas… you see the problem. So that’s where Sally comes in. Am currently just finishing of a version of the Coffee Date Dress pattern from the BurdaStyle website, and she was helpful even if she didn’t like pins being stuck in her…

I’ll post soon once I’ve finished those projects back to being an illy billy now…
